Hybrid transcends cloud mixes, narrating more of the work environment

The “hybrid workforce” is one buzz term emerging at AWS re:Invent this year. It’s a new way of operating, according to one digital solutions provider specializing in eSignature and other document workflows.

Hybrid in this context means some folks are located in the workspace and some are remote. Interestingly, the AWS re:Invent conference also has evolved to be hybrid, appealing to both physical and virtual attendees.

“Last week’s announcement of a new [pandemic] variant, for example, is forcing everybody back out of the office, back into a remote environment,” said Scott Owen (pictured left), vice president of business development and global channel for airSlate Inc. “So flexibility around supporting that hybrid workforce is key right now.”

Owen, and Sabina Joseph (pictured right), general manager of technology partners at Amazon Web Services Inc., spoke with Lisa Martin, host of theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio, during AWS re:Invent. They discussed how businesses are looking for automation solutions, in part, to support their disparately located employees, but also to embrace digital. (* Disclosure below.)

A contactless world

“Any company, any size, in order to survive, has to move digitally into this new space,” said Owen, referring to airSlate’s efforts to shift businesses to no-code document workflows. airSlate claims organizations can generate documents along with contract management, eSignatures and payments using one platform in a few minutes.

Contactless is an example of business automation that’s been rapidly evolving during COVID. It could be considered newly critical by businesses eSignatures assist in such efforts.

Indeed, this global market shift has contributed to airSlate’s 250% increase in customer wins in 2021 over 2020, according to Owen. It’s also been the AWS Marketplace positioning that’s helping an organization’s electronic data processing commit, among other factors, according to Owen.

“Customers are really looking for business automation solutions, and it has rapidly increased the last 20 months,” Joseph added.
