No-code automation platform startup Torq raises $50M to accelerate expansion
No-code automation platform startup Torq Ltd. today announced it has raised $50 million in new funding to accelerate its expansion in an effort to meet rapidly increasing demand from enterprise customers and managed security service providers.
Insight Partners led the Series B round. Also participating in the round were SentinelOne, GGV Capital and Bessemer Venture Partners. Including the new round, Torq has raised $78 million to date.
Founded in 2020, Torq offers a no-code automation platform for security and operations teams. The company’s platform connects security infrastructure and communications tools to automate workflows across these systems.
Torq says that by delivering intelligent automation and data transformation in an intuitive visual interface, the platform assists security teams in accelerating threat response and remediation, and delivering protection at the speed of modern business. The platform can be employed by new users within five minutes to respond to threats faster with automatically triggered flows and a proactive stand that the company claims eliminates false positive and reactive work.
As with all no-code solutions, Torq is designed to make it easier to build flows through a drag-and-drop designer without the need for developers or professional service providers. Torq runs in any environment and connects to any tool across the organization — no code to write, no packages to install and no integrations to configure. Out of the box, the company said, the service offers hundreds of templates that are easy to deploy.
Since launching out of stealth in the first quarter of this year, Torq has seen rapid growth, including increasing its headcount by over 200%. Notable customers include Agoda Co. Pte. Ltd., Healthy.io Ltd., NSONE Inc., The Meet Group Inc., EToro Ltd., Wiz Connected Lighting Co. Ltd., Lemonade Inc. and Armis Inc. With Lemonade, Torq says, its solution saw the company improve its mean time to recovery by 70 times and increased protection from malicious actors from under 10% to more than 90%.
“Torq’s accelerated customer growth proves that a new approach to automation is essential for security teams seeking to meet the challenges of today and tomorrow,” Ofer Smadari, co-founder and chief executive officer of Torq, said in a statement.
