Nutanix, HPE partner to help enterprise accelerate hybrid multicloud strategies

Digital transformation is a vast goal. For most companies, though, it starts with technologies like the cloud, artificial intelligence and automation.

Nutanix Inc., in partnership with Hewlett Packard Enterprises Co., is offering what it deems the shortest, most frugal, cost-conscious route to that goal.

“Hybrid multicloud is the only cost-effective way to get there,” said Tarkan Maner (pictured, left), chief commercial officer of Nutanix. “That cost is a big story. Highly secure, manageable, available, reliable total cost ownership, definitely depressed and take the complexity out — let us deal with the infrastructure for you while you focus on your time to market and the best applications for the best users.”

Maner and Mandy Dhaliwal (pictured, right), chief marketing officer of Nutanix, spoke with theCUBE industry analysts Dave Vellante and Lisa Martin at HPE Discover, during an exclusive broadcast on theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio. They discussed the company’s solutions partnership with HPE. (* Disclosure below.)

Becoming the common denominator across core, edge and cloud infrastructures

TheCUBE’s Dave Vellante has reported extensively on the “supercloud,” and it seems to echo Nutanix’s long-term positioning goals.

“I think at the core of it is simplicity and elegance,” Dhaliwal said. “And if you look, we have that. We architected for that. We’ve solved that problem, so we now can extend it to become ubiquitous in the market. We’ve got the scale and the breadth now of the technology platform to be able to go deliver that supercloud.”

The benefits of the HPE partnership in driving these cost and scale goals, and the incoming supercloud, are clearly manifested in their joint customers’ feedback.

So you get these amazing technologies to come together,” Maner explained. “We abstract the complexity away for the customer. HP GreenLake brings economic benefit; Nutanix brings experience. And all of a sudden, they’ve got time to value like they’ve never had before.”

The time, effort and cost savings can then translate to an infrastructure that’s more reliable, scalable and performant, according to Dhaliwal.
