Security intelligence firm LogRhythm Inc. today announced the launch of LogRhythm Axon, a new cloud-native security operations platform built from the ground up.
Axon is pitched as a force multiplier for overwhelmed security teams. The company says it provides an intuitive way for security teams to achieve visibility across cloud and on-premises log sources, establishing a foundation for their security practices.
Key Axon benefits, according to LoyRhythm, include simplified collection and enrichment of logs to boost SecOps productivity and efficiency; enhanced reporting of threats to reduce the workload of analysts; an intuitive interface that enhances visualization and searchability of logs to help security teams and analysts easily investigate threats; and a reduced burden of hardware infrastructure and software upgrades on the security team.
Along with the launch of Axon, LogRhythm has also launched new enhancements to its LogRhythm security information and event management platform, network detection and response and user and entity behavior analytics solutions.
New features include expanded data collection in LogRhythm SIEM with improved capabilities to collect on-premise and cloud log sources. LogRhythm UEBA has received an improved analytical model that tracks when a user authenticates with a new log source type to continue providing the best protection related to user attacks and a simplified analyst experience to make use of the identity heatmap and asset details in the user interface.
LogRhythm NDR now has an enhanced analyst threat hunting and incident response experience that provides increased visibility into network traffic via data collection through PCAP and NetFlow. The company says it also offers the ability to opt into a new NDR analyst experience that optimizes data presentation and brings rich context to analysts’ activities.
“We are dedicated to helping customers meet rising security expectations by keeping our promise of delivering quarterly innovation to both the Axon platform as well as our entire product portfolio,” Chris O’Malley, chief executive officer of LogRhythm, said in a statement. “With LogRhythm Axon, SIEM, NDR and UEBA, we are helping busy and lean security teams proactively detect threats, efficiently investigate incidents and ultimately keep their business and customers safe, day after day.”
