Cofense Protect+ offers automated email security for midsized companies
Phishing detection and response solutions company Cofense Inc. today announced Cofense Protect+, a new product that brings automated email security solutions to the mid-size market.
The new product is designed to address the increasing issues mid-market organizations face from cyberattack surfaces and email threats while at the same time finding themselves resource- and budget-constrained. Cofense argues that because of these challenges, organizations may not have the resources necessary to quickly identify and address cyberthreats that are continuously threatening their business.
Cofense Protect+ offers an all-in-one email security solution that protects midsized organizations from email attacks such as malware and business email compromise. The service combines email threat protection, realistic phishing simulations and security awareness training into an automated, single platform that can be configured in a matter of minutes and runs with minimal ongoing management.
The service leverages machine learning techniques to evolve continuously in response to new threat vectors. Cofense Protect+ uses data from Cofense Intelligence, a dedicated team of threat intelligence specialists who investigate and analyze real-time threats from more than 35 million global human reporters and the Cofense Phishing Defense Center. The combination is said to enable Cofense Protect+ to detect and stop advanced email threats missed by traditional security solutions.
“The mid-size market is facing an increasingly unique challenge with cybersecurity that will only grow more complicated as economic uncertainty continues to loom,” Rohyt Belani, chief executive officer and co-founder of Cofense, said in a statement. “These organizations will see fewer resources and tighter security budgets in corporate settings, resulting in subpar security posture and increased activity from threat actors.”
Alongside the launch of Cofense Protect+, the company also announced that it had seen a “momentous year of growth” in 2022. Cofense Vision, a service that allows companies to automatically identify and auto quarantine emails in minutes, saw a 40% year-over-year increase in customer adoption, leading to double-digit year-over-year growth in total global sales.
The company also auto-quarantined and removed a record number of threats last year. Cofense Intelligence detected 569% more malicious phishing emails and identified 595% more phishing campaigns inside enterprises’ inboxes than the year before. The company also saw a 478% increase in the number of credential phishing-related Active Threat Reports published.
