Often times there’s a big separation between a company’s operation team and the development team. It can be hard to understand the differences between the two and address complexities. But making sure that the two teams are at the same level can help close gaps in knowledge.

At Spectro Cloud Inc., Kubernetes applications are made simple and intuitive for users through a carefully designed interface, according to two company executives.

“Every application team, they all try to deploy and manage their application under their own Kubernetes infrastructure,” said Tenry Fu (pictured, right), co-founder and chief executive officer of Spectro Cloud. “Very soon, all these application teams, they start to realize they have to repeatedly do the same thing.”

Nested cluster changes the game

Users want to be able to work with the application without having to worry about the underlying Kubernetes infrastructure. Spectro Cloud enables developer velocity to quickly deploy and build application profiles without worrying about Kubernetes.

“The target environment, whether it becomes an actual host cluster or a nested cluster itself, is irrelevant to them,” Malik stated.

They have received lots of positive feedback so far because the solution provides consistency, governance and visibility to the ops team. Meanwhile, developers are happy because it offers flexibility and is easy to use without a steep learning curve.

Spectro Cloud focuses on making it easy for organizations to use different integrations and tooling without actually having to learn it. There are so many different languages, libraries and capabilities out there that it can be overwhelming for the average customer to understand it, Malik explained. The platform is designed to make collaboration seamless and move faster toward the end goal.

The company recently announced Palette 3.0, which promotes developer productivity and targets the challenges many customers face. This is especially useful for platform engineering teams to codify best practices and bring in some common practices.
