CrowdStrike and Dell strategic alliance assists organizations with cyberthreats

CrowdStrike Holdings Inc. and Dell Technologies Inc. today announced a new strategic alliance to assist organizations in preventing, detecting and responding to cyberthreats with frictionless and cost-effective offerings.

The new strategic alliance, which includes targeted offerings for businesses of all sizes, allows organizations to manage cyberthreats and protect their endpoints, cloud workloads, identity and data. The collaboration provides significant market access, expediting consolidation from legacy and point products to a single platform.

As part of the alliance, the CrowdStrike Falcon platform is now available to purchase with volume licensing to help medium-sized and large enterprises, and public sector organizations, consolidate spend, platforms and contracts while meeting security and compliance needs.

CrowdStrike will also be available across a broad set of Dell offerings, including with the purchase of Dell commercial personal computers in the coming months.

“Today’s complex threat landscape calls for a collaborative approach that brings together industry-leading technologies and world-class teams to build the strongest defense for our customers,” Sam Burd, president of the Client Solutions Group at Dell, said in a statement. “Our work with CrowdStrike is the latest example of how we’re helping organizations stay ahead of threats. As our strategic collaboration continues, the fundamental principle remains clear: help customers tackle their security challenges with ease and simplicity.”

CrowdStrike was previously in the news in December when it expanded its Falcon platform with enhanced adversary-driven External Attack Surface Management technology. The expansion includes the introduction of Falcon Surface, a new standalone module that features capabilities from CrowdStrike’s recent acquisition of Reposify Ltd.

Dell has also been busy, partnering with VMware Inc. through the VMware Telco Cloud Platform to enable network operators to achieve telco-grade resilience and service availability by deploying virtual network and cloud-native functions.
