Artificial intelligence promises huge potential and is currently being billed as the technology that will make everyone’s lives easier.
Despite the excitement this developing technology brings, however, it’s important for tech leaders to walk before they run, so to speak, when it comes to implementing AI into their infrastructure.
“What I think a lot and I go back to my customers with is, ‘are you ready? Are you truly embarking? Are you making sure that everybody on your team is using AI?’” said Marco Costa (pictured), chief executive officer of Exclaimer Ltd. “Your data is not even on the cloud yet. There’s still a long tail of customers that still must build some foundations before they get it.”
Costa spoke with theCUBE industry analysts John Furrier and Rob Strechay at the Google Cloud Next event, during an exclusive broadcast on theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio. They discussed future-proofing today’s technology for a smarter tomorrow, thinking cloud-first and the role of partners in technology adoption in the modern workplace. (* Disclosure below.)
Exclaimer, an email signature solution, uses AI to look at internal information, including trends, best practices and how people should use its signatures. With over 60,000 customers, several of these customers share the same industry.
“[With AI], we know what’s working and what’s not working, so we can go back to the customers and say, “80% of your players in the industry are changing their signatures right now. Why are you not? Why are you not taking advantage of this specific opportunity?” Costa explained.
The group ended the conversation with Marco giving some advice to tech leaders.
“Everybody, each of your employees is sending 40 emails a day. Those emails will be going whether you check the signature or not. Take advantage of those emails. Work with us to make sure we amplify and make each email the best one you can,” he said.
