Data detection and response platform provider Cyberhaven Inc. today launched “Linea AI,” a new artificial intelligence platform designed to combat critical insider risks in corporate data.
Built to match the collective intelligence of security analysts, Linea AI applies human-like insight across workflows to understand an organization’s data. It assesses when the data is at risk and what’s needed to protect with, with Cyberhaven saying it does so “with unmatched precision.”
Linea AI is claimed to differ from traditional data security measures by building a nuanced understanding of how people and teams operate. The service mimics human analytics insight but with the added advantages of what the company claims is more consistent focus, zero bias and the ability to operate at large scale. Cyberhaven says the approach allows Linea AI to detect data that traditional security tools would miss or obscure with false positives.
“Our goal was to create a solution that not only detects and stops critical risks but does so with the efficiency and precision that modern enterprises require,” said Howard Ting, the Chief Executive at Cyberhaven. “Linea AI is that solution and represents the culmination of years of research and the latest advances in AI technology.”
Key features of the new AI service include risk detection, risk prioritization, incident summaries, smart remediation and guided prevention. The AI recognizes abnormal behavior when it sees and also analyzes corporate workflows and predicts when the next likely action or behavior will occur, detecting employees who mishandle sensitive data and what they may do next.
“It’s AI that embodies the collective intelligence and insight of the best security analysts and applies it at scale, not just triage and investigation but to detection,” Ting added.
Founded in 2016, Cyberhaven is a venture capital-backed startup, having raised rounds of $13 million in 2019 and $33 million in 2021. Investors include Redpoint Ventures LLC, Forgepoint Capital LP, Vertex Ventures US LLC, Costanoa Ventures LP and Crane Venture Partners LLP.
