JFrog and Qwak integration offers MLOps solutions for streamlined application delivery

Software supply chain company JFrog Ltd. today announced a new integration with machine learning platform provider Qwak AI Ltd. that brings machine learning models alongside the traditional software development lifecycle processes to streamline, accelerate and scale the secure delivery of artificial intelligence applications.

Qwak specializes in simplifying the machine learning operational journey with a platform designed to efficiently manage and deploy a variety of models, both in batch and real-time environments. The company’s platform offers observability and a vector database layer to enhance the ability to bring multiple models into production with a focus on improving operational efficiency by addressing the complexities associated with machine learning model deployment, integration and optimization.

The integration between the two companies sees JFrog Artifactory and Xray working with Qwak’s ML Platform to bring machine learning apps alongside all other software development components in a modern DevSecOps and MLOps workflow. Doing so will enable data scientists, machine learning engineers, developers and DevOps teams to easily build projects at scale.

The native integration connects JFrog’s universal ML Model registry with a centralized MLOps platform so users can build, train and deploy models with greater visibility, governance, versioning and security on-prem and in the cloud. Having a centralized platform for machine learning model deployment is also said to allow users to spend less time focused on infrastructure and more time on their core data science tasks.

“Data scientists and software engineers are the creators of modern AI applications that are having a dramatic impact on our society, but there are still hurdles to overcome in terms of bringing ML models to production, such as bridging the gap between MLOps and DevSecOps workflows,” said Gal Marder, executive vice president of strategy at JFrog. “Working with Qwak, we can provide customers with a complete MLSecOps solution that helps bridge this gap by bringing ML models in line with other software development processes, creating a single source of truth for all software components across Engineering, DevOps and DevSecOps teams.”

Qwak Chief Executive Alon Lev noted that “while there are plenty of open source tools on the market, putting all of those together to build a comprehensive ML pipeline isn’t easy, which is why we’re thrilled to work with JFrog on a solution for automating ML artifacts and releases in the same, secure way customers manage their software supply chain with JFrog Artifactory and Xray.”

Based in Israel, Qwak is a venture capital-backed startup that has raised $31 million, according to Tracxn. Investors in the company include Bessemer Venture Partners Inc., Leaders Fund LLC, StageOne Ventures Ltd. and Amiti Inc.
