Devo launches data orchestration, data analytics and security operations enhancements

Data security platform company Devo Technology Inc. today launched data orchestration, a data analytics cloud and security operations center workflow enhancements that offer security teams data control, cost optimizations and efficient automation.

The three announcements are aimed at helping security teams who are grappling with the vast amounts of data they need to manage and analyze. Devo argues that many traditional security information and event management, or SIEM, systems do not cost-effectively ingest data from any source.

With Devo’s new data orchestration and data analytics cloud, organizations aren’t forced to omit data sources because it’s too expensive. The SOC workflow enhancements also enable analysts to easily act on that data with artificial intelligence-driven automation for precise threat detection and incident response.

Leading the list, Devo Data Orchestration has been designed to give companies total control of their data so they can manage and analyze it from any source at scale and on their own terms. The service filters and routes data to destinations such as Amazon Kinesis, Amazon S3 and others to ensure the most valuable data is available for real-time analytics and alerts.

The service further optimizes where less valuable data is stored, giving enterprises and managed security service providers the flexibility to manage costs while scaling to meet growing data volumes.

To address the increase in data sources and the need to control and customize, the second announcement, Devo Data Analytics Cloud, orchestrates and ingests petabytes of structured and unstructured data from any source or data lake. The service allows security teams and MSSPs to build custom security applications and integrations, or alternatively, organizations can also use Devo’s prebuilt alerts, applications and dashboards to get started.

The third announcement sees additional enhancements to SOC workflows, with enhancements to Devo ThreatLink that help security teams track and collaborate on security incidents and alerts. The service now automates alert triage by correlating and enriching alerts into high-fidelity cases, significantly reducing the analyst workload from thousands of alerts to just tens of cases per day.

To assist SOC teams further, Devo Behavior Analytics has also been updated with new features that enhance threat detection with tunable risk-based alerting, instantaneous anomaly flagging through a new streaming architecture and targeted monitoring of high-risk assets. Analysts can prioritize high-risk threats using Behavior Analytics’ entity risk context within Devo ThreatLink.

“No organization should have to forgo security because of high vendor costs that balloon with scale,” said Rakesh Nair, senior vice president of product and engineering at Devo. “While there have been many changes in the SIEM market, we’ve remained unwaveringly focused on enabling our customers to maintain control while providing them with the flexibility they need to meet their unique SOC needs.”

Devo is a venture capital-back company that has raised $500 million over seven rounds, including rounds of $60 million in September 2020 and $100 million on a $2 billion valuation in June 2022. Investors include Eurazeo SE, ISAI Cap Venture SAS, Georgian Partners LP, Bessemer Venture Partners LP and Insight Partners.
