New Flex 2.0 from AttackIQ gives organizations rapid assessment of their security posture

Security optimization platform company AttackIQ Inc. today announced the launch of Flex 2.0, an updated version of its breach and attack simulation platform that allows organizations to assess their security posture rapidly.

The first version of Flex was launched in August 2023 as an on-demand, pay-as-you-go, agentless test-as-a-service solution. Designed with user accessibility in mind, the original service provided detailed security performance metrics and mitigations in minutes, allowing organizations to conduct granular security validation without facing recurring fees or complex deployments.

The new Flex 2.0 version released today builds on that foundation with significant enhancements aimed at providing deeper insights and more robust security assessments. One of the key features in the updated Flex offering is the Insights Dashboard, which offers actionable performance insights, including Test Performance Scoring and Performance by MITRE Tactic. This dashboard simplifies the view of overall security performance, enabling organizations to drive continuous improvement in their security measures.

Flex 2.0 also introduces specialized test packages designed to meet specific regulatory and framework requirements. A feature called the DORA Test Package, which aligns with the Digital Operational Resilience Act, helps financial institutions assess their cybersecurity posture against DORA requirements. Another new feature, the NIST CSF Test Package, based on the National Institute of Standards and Technology Cybersecurity Framework 2.0, provides a structured approach for organizations to evaluate their security within the “Protect” function.

Additionally, AttackIQ has expanded the testing capabilities in Flex 2.0 to address emerging threats and commonly used adversary tactics, techniques and procedures. The new version of Flex utilizes enhanced security baselines to test critical controls such as network security, next-generation firewalls and endpoint detection and response.

“Many organizations struggle to keep pace with evolving threats due to the challenges of security control testing, leaving them vulnerable to attack,” said AttackIQ Chief Commercial Officer Carl Wright. “Flex 2.0 addresses this challenge by providing on-demand, actionable insights.”

Wright added that the new Insights Dashboard offered in Flex 2.0 “empowers security teams to improve their overall security performance, while our expanding compliance test packages help organizations mitigate risk and avoid costly penalties.”

AttackIQ Flex 2.0 is now available to existing and new Flex customers.
