SurePath AI launches Discovery service to enhance enterprise generative AI oversight
Generative artificial intelligence governance startup SurePath AI Inc. today announced the launch of SurePath AI Discovery, a new offering that provides rapid visibility into employee use of public AI services.
Announced at this week’s Amazon Web Services Inc.’s re:Invent 2024 conference in Las Vegas, the new service classifies AI use by intent and identifies sensitive data violations, giving companies a better understanding of the volume, use case and risk of AI use across their organization.
SurePath AI Discovery offers organizations a detailed report on their generative AI usage and associated risks. The report highlights adopted generative AI apps, identifies significant risks from deployed tools, evaluates the return on investment of generative AI initiatives, and provides tailored recommendations to enhance utilization and security.
The service also uses secure access service edge tools to redirect public generative AI traffic for analysis. The method allows for transparent oversight and secure monitoring of generative AI activity without disrupting end users’ workflows.
The no-cost service has already launched with key strategic partners to power their customer offerings. Discovery operates across cloud, hybrid and multi-cloud environments to deliver rapid, actionable intelligence. The service also integrates with platforms from companies such as Netskope Inc., Zscaler Inc. and Palo Alto Networks Inc. for additional insights.
SurePath AI Discovery is being pitched as a partner-first solution designed to empower system integrators, managed service providers and managed security service providers to enhance customer engagement. Through the integration of Discovery into generative AI workshops, security assessments and AI Center of Excellence initiatives, SurePath says that partners can deliver exceptional value and actionable insights to their clients.
“Our launch of the generative AI Discovery program creates a first-in-industry solution for our launch partners,” said Jim Melton, vice president of alliance at SurePath AI.
SurePath AI is a venture capital-backed startup that has raised $6.3 million in funding, including a round of $5.2 million in November. Investors in the company include Uncork Capital and Operator Collective LP.
