Identity-centered security solution Entrust Corp, today announced the launch of the Entrust Cryptographic Security Platform, a unified, end-to-end cryptographic security management solution for keys, secrets and certificates.
The new solution seeks to address the growing issue of cyberattacks on data security and identity systems. Entrust argues that traditional approaches to securing data and identities aren’t working and in digital-first environments, every connected device, application and system is at risk without a secure cryptographic foundation.
Moreover, current tools for managing cryptographic sprawl, including encryption keys, secrets and certificates, are fragmented. As a result, they’ve made it nearly impossible to confidently manage cryptography at an enterprise scale.
The Entrust Cryptographic Security Platform addresses these issues by providing visibility and manageability across the entire cryptographic estate, including public and private cloud environments, endpoints, applications and networks. The platform gives security, information technology and DevOps the control and agility they need to simplify deployment of cryptographic solutions. It also provides centralized inventory and visibility to manage increasingly complex operations and to prepare for the shift to post-quantum cryptography.
The new platform integrates various capabilities to deliver unified compliance management, public key infrastructure, deployment and operation and lifecycle management for keys, secrets and certificates. Data is secured with Entrust nShield and third-party hardware security modules while remaining interoperable with top security, identity and IT management systems through integrations.
“We’re seeing an explosion of data and devices that need to be secured by cryptography, and we’re in the midst of a multiyear transition to quantum-secure cryptography,” said Bhagwat Swaroop, president of digital security at Entrust. “It’s clear that every organization must place a heightened focus on cryptographic estate management as the foundation of data and identity security.”
The platform allows organizations to take full control of their cryptographic operations and reduce disruption during complex transitions. It offers enterprise-wide visibility, allowing teams to monitor cryptographic assets, audit changes and receive alerts from a centralized dashboard. Built-in cryptographic risk management capabilities automatically assess risk posture, enforce security policies and protect keys, secrets and certificates across departments and teams.
It also supports high-performance deployments that meet the latest standards, available both on-premises and as a managed service. Doing so ensures broad interoperability, integrating with leading security, identity and IT management systems while offering customization through open application programming interfaces.
The platform will be available in May.
