Product intelligence startup Bagel AI raises $5.5M to help companies build what their customers want

Bagel Technologies Inc., a startup using specialized artificial intelligence models to help companies make better product decisions based on customer feedback, said it has closed on a $5.5 million seed funding round.

Today’s raise was led by at.inc/ and saw participation from Demo Capital, Loyal VC and CS Angel, plus a number of notable angel investors. They include the venture capitalist Guy Horowitz, former Zoom Video Communications Inc. Chief Product Officer Oded Gal, CyberArk Inc. founder Udi Mokady and former Atlassian Corp. Head of Product Marketing Sean Regan.

Bagel AI, as the company prefers to be known, has created “customer-tailored AI models” that are designed to provide companies with useful intelligence that can inform decision-making around new products. The models work by gathering feedback and other customer data and transforming this information into detailed insights. For instance, they can help identify customer pain points, product gaps and emerging trends on how their products are being used, as well as provide visibility into the features people like or dislike.

The idea is to align product strategy with the overall business impact, so companies can see more clearly how each product they offer is impacting their bottom line. The Bagel AI says it provides complete visibility into every aspect of new products, starting with feature conception.

The startup is trying to solve a big problem it describes as a “lack of cohesion” between product and go-to-market teams. It says this disconnect causes missed opportunities and in worse case scenarios, the complete collapse of go-to-market strategies, insisting that 70% fail due to “team misalignment.”

It argues that by providing better intelligence based on customer feedback, it can inform more bespoke business products. It adds that data-driven companies are 19 times more likely to remain profitable than those that don’t prioritize data-based decision-making. Moreover, it believes its insights can enhance the overall product design process at companies, making them much more efficient.

Bagel AI co-founder and Chief Executive Ohad Biron said what he’s offering companies is a way to shift from the “growth-at-all-costs mindset” to smarter and more sustainable, long-term growth. “The Bagel AI platform enables product and go-to-market teams to pinpoint, based on AI-driven intelligence, the type of solution their customer requires,” he said.

Roni Bonjack, a venture partner at at.inc/, said Bagel AI’s benefit is helping companies uncover hidden insights and transform them into better business results. “Customers receive value almost immediately, which is a testament to how deeply Bagel AI integrates into workflows and drives real outcomes,” he added.

Bagel AI says its platform can integrate with popular marketing software including Salesforce and Zendesk, project management platforms such as Jira, and revenue management tools such as Gong.

Gal said he’s backing Bagel AI because, in his experience, product teams are “drowning in scattered data and clunky tools” that cause them to waste hours of time that would be better spent on designing the products their customers want.

“As former Chief Product Officer at Zoom, I know what drives high-performing product organizations,” he pointed out. “Bagel AI’s seamless integration and smart automation give teams the clarity and speed they need to ship smarter and scale faster.”
