Dashlane launches AI-powered Omnix platform to tackle phishing and shadow IT

Credential security and password management company Dashlane Inc. today unveiled Dashlane Omnix, a new artificial intelligence-accelerated credential security platform aimed at addressing the growing risks of AI-powered phishing and shadow IT.

Dashlane Omnix unifies proactive intelligence, real-time response and protected access to provide businesses with complete credential security across their workforce. The service also includes new capabilities that equip security teams to pinpoint and expedite responses to credential threats.

The new platform seeks to assist with the rise of generative AI, which Dashlane argues has magnified human risk. A recent Dashlane report found that 80% of organizations have observed an increase in the volume and sophistication of phishing attacks. That’s on top of an influx of unmanaged AI apps also driving a new wave of shadow IT that’s out of reach of single sign-on and often multifactor authentication.

Dashlane Omnix addresses the entire lifecycle of a credential-based threat, from the initial detection of a compromised credential to alerting to drive user remediation and ongoing credential management. The platform employs a pretrained AI model to intelligently detect and alert end users when they visit a malicious website, serving as a last line of defense against phishing.

“So much of credential security has been reactive and siloed, where enterprises react to breaches rather than proactively address and mitigate the risk before it metastasizes,” said Chief Executive John Bennett. “The power of Omnix lies in its pairing of unparalleled insights with action to truly impact behavior and give enterprises the means to build long-term resilience and improve overall security.”

Omnix provides proactive credential protection that helps security teams detect and respond to threats before they result in account compromise, including visibility into unmanaged applications and shadow IT, to deliver more resilient and phishing-resistant enterprise environments.

The platform offers enterprise credential management through a zero-knowledge encrypted vault that allows users to securely store, share and manage credentials, even those outside of SSO coverage. Using Omnix, IT teams can enforce security policies and monitor credential health, with the platform also working with existing tools for a more complete view of access risks.

Omnix also features in-browser security via the Dashlane Smart Extension, giving real-time insights into credential activity within browsers and across shadow IT. Its architecture, built on the Dashlane Secure Cloud, leverages confidential computing and zero-knowledge design, with a secure application programming interface available to enrich broader security operations.

As part of Omnix, Dashlane has additionally introduced new capabilities to give security teams deeper visibility into credential risk and enable faster response across their organizations. With Credential Risk Insights, IT leaders can access detailed analytics on the number of employees using weak or compromised credentials, identify the most at-risk users and track security posture improvements over time.

Omnix also delivers in-context alerts that notify employees in real time, directly in Dashlane, or through tools like Slack when a credential threat occurs, helping to mitigate risks before they escalate. To support broader enterprise integration, Dashlane has expanded deployment options for Credential Risk Detection, now offering support for Group Policy Objects alongside Microsoft Intune and JAMF.
