Data protection provider Commvault Systems Inc. today announced a new strategic alliance with Deloitte & Touche LLP to help enhance cyber resilience and incident response.
The collaboration will see the integration of Commvault’s advanced data protection and recovery technologies with Deloitte’s cyber defense and response expertise to deliver protection across all stages of a cyber incident.
The alliance is seeking to address a need for incident response and comprehensive cyber resilience strategies. A recent survey from Deloitte found that 43% of respondents cited keeping pace with the evolving threat landscape as one of the top strategic challenges to contend with. Along with a concurrent escalation in the sophistication and frequency of cyberthreats, Commvault and Deloitte both argue that enterprises need to adopt end-to-end cyber resilience measures to safeguard critical assets and maintain operational integrity.
The combination of Commvault’s cyber resilience solutions with Deloitte’s cyber defense and response capabilities addresses these issues, giving joint clients capabilities that include proactive prevention, detection, response and recovery.
The alliance delivers in three stages. Before an attack occurs, assistance is provided to help businesses identify their minimum viability — the essential applications, processes, assets and personnel needed to continue operations after a disruption. Commvault’s Cleanroom Recovery is used to help enterprises assess and test their recovery plans in advance to make sure they are well set up to quickly bounce back when an incident strikes.
If an attack takes place, Deloitte’s cyber risk services work in tandem with Commvault’s artificial intelligence-powered anomaly detection to identify and address threats before they escalate.
After an incident, Deloitte’s response expertise and the Commvault Cloud platform, with tools such as Cloud Rewind, Clumio Backtrack and Cleanroom Recovery, enable rapid recovery, reduce downtime and support continuous business operations.
“In an era where cyberthreats are more pervasive than ever, our collaboration with Commvault aims to advance cyber resilience for our joint clients,” said David Nowak, principal at Deloitte & Touche. “Together, we are offering a strategic and broad solution that not only helps our clients fortify their defenses but also helps with recovery from outages and cyberattacks.”
