Druva introduces AI agents to streamline workload recovery and incident response

Data security provider Druva Inc. today announced a major expansion of DruAI, the company’s suite of artificial intelligence capabilities for customers, to help organizations proactively secure, recover and manage their data.

DruAI, built with Amazon Bedrock AgentCore on Amazon Web Services Inc., now includes AI agents that can interpret user intent, analyze data and take meaningful action. The agents are designed to help enterprises move beyond traditional, query-based AI to agentic systems that help teams strengthen cyber resilience with greater speed, simplicity and confidence.

The AI service now allows users to use specialized agents that can act directly and, in doing so, remove manual steps from traditional workflows. Among the agents offered, Data Agents can identify key signals and trends from telemetry, risk indicators and historical patterns. Help Agents assist users by troubleshooting issues, investigating incidents and suggesting next steps. Finally, Action Agents execute specific tasks such as recovering workloads, creating protection policies or adjusting retention settings to optimize costs.

The new DruAI Agents also unlock new use cases for customers by enabling full workload recovery with a single command, removing the need to manually reassemble infrastructure components.

For example, DruAI can restore an EC2 instance, including its configuration, volumes and networking, in one step through a simple prompt. The capability extends to streamlining cyber investigations, where Data and Help Agents automatically surface anomalies, highlight suspicious activity and generate executive-level summaries to speed decision-making and response.

Additionally, DruAI offers a secure sandbox with built-in synthetic datasets, allowing customers to experiment with AI in a controlled environment. Teams can test prompts, simulate recovery scenarios and validate outputs before deploying AI in production, helping organizations explore new applications while ensuring accuracy and readiness.

“Agentic AI will completely transform how users interact with their software and we’re embedding that functionality directly into our platform at no added cost to the customer,” said co-founder and Chief Executive Jaspreet Singh. “AI will significantly simplify data security and we’re dedicated to ensuring customers stay ahead of constantly evolving cyberthreats.”

Since its introduction, according to the company, DruAI has been used by more than 3,000 customers and 10,000 users to help investigate and remediate issues, engaging in more than 11,000 AI-powered conversations across recovery, configuration and support workflows.

To date, it added, DruAI has resolved 63% of customer issues without human intervention, accelerated human-assisted support cases by 58% through telemetry-based context and maintained a 0% hallucination rate thanks to strict data integrity controls.

Over the next 12 months, the company plans to advance DruAI’s capabilities across key areas, including reducing the average time-to-resolution for cyber investigations by up to 70%, enabling up to 90% of routine data protection tasks through natural language interactions, and shortening backup troubleshooting time from hours to minutes.
