AI is no longer operating at the periphery of enterprises today. Based on the agentic partnership between Amazon Web Services Inc. and Workato Inc., AI agents are becoming central to automating workflows and streamlining operations across an organization.

AWS’ Mona Chadha (right) talks with theCUBE about its agentic partnership with Workato.
A combination of Workato’s Genie no-code platform for building and managing AI agents with AWS services such as Amazon Bedrock is enabling customers to integrate applications and data for scaling business tasks, according to said Mona Chadha (pictured), director, WW infrastructure partners for AWS Center of Excellence, at AWS.
“Now it’s actually going to the center, to the core of the enterprise, and this doesn’t sit in the edge anymore,” she said. “That’s the interesting thing about how both of us have come together. The impact is really just from the end-customer perspective, because now they can truly see the benefit of a production enterprise-ready agentic platform. Those workflows, those Genies are just going to really help accelerate customers’ innovation.”
Chadha spoke with theCUBE’s Rob Strechay and Savannah Peterson at the WOW: World of Workato event, during an exclusive broadcast on theCUBE, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio. They discussed how both AWS and Workato are working to help customers deploy AI agents at scale. (* Disclosure below.)
Workato employs models from key providers such as OpenAI Inc. and Anthropic PBC to provide automation capabilities for customers. This offers a valuable resource for getting users started in the evolving world of agentic AI, according to Chadha.
“What Workato has done is helped us with getting customers up and running, getting them to build out their agentic workflows in a more thoughtful way,” she explained. “They have all of those critical components like the security, the compliance, the guardrails, ensuring that they can also leverage different models from a customer perspective. That’s really important because it not only gives you that flexibility, but also gives you that depth of choice of using a variety of different models to then start to go and build and train your agents, and then build out those workflows that you really want.”
From the AWS perspective, Workato’s capabilities integrate efficiently with the key tools used by enterprise customers to build agentic AI platforms. These include the newly previewed AgentCore, enterprise-grade services that help developers build and deploy AI agents at scale.
“It’s all of the guiding principles that we have alongside all the technology that we’ve developed with Bedrock, with AgentCore, with AWS Marketplace, with Guardrails, with Transform, with all the chipsets that we have,” Chadha said. “Workato is taking all of that and then building it in and embedding it into their platforms.”
This has led to a clearer realization among customers with both companies of what AI can do for their business. It is a lightbulb moment that is opening up new vistas as agentic AI takes hold, Chadha added.
“It’s not just productivity with their people,” she said. “It’s leveraging the agents and then getting what they need quicker, faster, which has also resulted in a lot of end customers starting to generate new revenue streams. A bank may have new pricing vehicles for their end customers or new ways of banking. It’s definitely gotten more interesting because you can do a lot more with the AI that’s out there. Now everyone can be a nerd.”
