As AI adoption accelerates, organizations are confronting an AI security chasm marked by new risks across data and models. The industry is responding by building AI systems that are secure and trustworthy from the ground up.
Cybersecurity company Snyk Ltd. and its partners have sought to respond to these trends. Their focus is on closing the gap between rapid AI development and responsible security practices, ensuring innovation doesn’t outpace protection.
“AI is redefining what it means to be a developer,” said Snyk Chief Executive Officer Peter McKay. “Developers today are managing AI agents, building security in from the start and running faster, more complex workflows. It’s a lot, but it’s also a chance to reimagine innovation. At Snyk, our focus is practical: embed security at every stage, protect both developers and their AI agents and enable teams to move fast without sacrificing safety. That’s why we built the AI Trust Platform — to help teams stay in control and build with confidence as the pace of change accelerates.”
During The AI Security Summit, SiliconANGLE Media’s livestreaming studio theCUBE will talk with industry experts about how organizations are bridging the AI security chasm through open-source-first DevSecOps, full-stack protection and human-machine defense. “The rapid adoption and integration of AI into modern enterprises is fundamentally reshaping the attack surface at a speed we haven’t seen before,” said Jackie McGuire, security practice lead and principal analyst with theCUBE Research. “The AI Security Summit aims to cut through the hype to address critical and often overlooked questions. How do we empower developers to build securely? How do we hold AI accountable? Most importantly, how do leaders manage this new class of risk? This isn’t just another security problem to be solved with software; it’s going to require embedding trust directly into the development lifecycle. ”
Snyk has sought to expand its focus on securing AI-driven software development amid the growing convergence of AI innovation and cybersecurity. Recent developments from Snyk include a June announcement that it had acquired Invariant Labs AG, a Swiss artificial intelligence security research firm.
“With Invariant Labs, we’re accelerating our ability to identify, pressure test and neutralize the next generation of AI threats before they reach production,” said Snyk Chief Innovation Officer Manoj Nair. “This investment deepens our leadership in AI security innovation, rooted in original research, technical rigor and developer trust.”
Earlier this year, Snyk introduced the Snyk AI Trust Platform, an AI-native solution designed to secure and govern software development in the era of intelligent, agent-driven applications. The Snyk AI Trust Platform is intended to serve as a game-changer for global organizations looking to further invest in AI-driven development, according to Snyk Chief Technology Officer Danny Allan.
“Autopilot didn’t replace the need for actual pilots, and in that same vein, we envision a world where AI augments developers, but never fully replaces them,” Allan said.
In April, Snyk announced the launch of Snyk API & Web, which it said was designed to meet the growing demands of modern and increasingly artificial intelligence-powered software development. Enterprises have recognized the value in a comprehensive, developer-first approach to API security testing and dynamic testing of web endpoints, according to Nair.
“We’re not only looking forward to more secure generative AI-assisted development, but also the ability to significantly revolutionize the DAST space with AI techniques that Snyk continues to deliver to the AppSec market,” Nair said.
These subjects and more will be a main focus during The AI Security Summit. TheCUBE will provide full coverage of the event while providing analyst-driven commentary about product debuts and proof points from the teams aiming to reshape trust in AI and bridge the AI security chasm. “The insights and information from The AI Security Summit will be essential for any organization that wants to innovate with AI responsibly and open new doors to the future … without leaving the back door wide open,” McGuire added.
