Artificial intelligence voice infrastructure startup Newo Inc. announced today that it has raised $25 million in new funding to accelerate product development, expand its partner ecosystem, scale up go-to-market efforts, and expand its AI voice capabilities across additional industries and use cases.

Founded in 2023, Newo offers human-like AI voice and text agents that are designed to act as always-on front desks for small and medium-sized businesses. The agents can answer inbound phone calls, respond to SMS and web chat and manage conversations across messaging platforms such as WhatsApp.

Newo’s platform is engineered for real-world, live voice environments, with AI agents that follow structured workflows for tasks such as appointment booking, call routing, lead qualification, escalation to humans and handoff between systems. The technology prioritizes reliability and accuracy over open-ended conversation, which is critical when AI is directly handling revenue-generating customer interactions.

Under the hood, Newo’s platform uses what the company calls Zero-Hallucination Architecture, which involves the use of multiple AI agents working in parallel to verify responses before they are delivered to callers or customers. The design enables subsecond response times, consistent voice quality and high accuracy that Newo says allows businesses to trust AI with high call volumes.

The architecture is also specifically built to handle noisy environments, unclear customer requests, geographic routing and other edge cases common in live phone calls.

“Small businesses are under pressure to respond instantly, but most still lose revenue simply because no one picks up the phone,” said co-founder David Yang. “After decades spent building enterprise AI at scale as a co-founder of ABBYY, it was clear to me that voice was the last major customer channel that hadn’t been rebuilt for automation. Newo is changing that by making AI agents accurate, reliable and genuinely usable in real business environments.”

More than 15,000 AI agents have been created on the Newo platform, with early adoption led by industries such as dental practices, restaurants, home services and cleaning businesses.

Newo said it has doubled its revenue in the final two months of 2025, though it didn’t provide more specifics, and is also backed by a network of more than 200 certified partners.

The Series A round was led by Ratmir Timashev, founder of Veeam Software Group GmbH and co-founder of OH.io Inc., with Aloniq Inc., Constructor.io Inc., Acrobator Ventures and s16vc also participating.

“What stood out about Newo’s voice AI solution was not the promise, but the proof,” said lead investor Ratmir Timashev. “Businesses are already depending on AI Receptionists by Newo to handle real customer communications 24/7, faster and more accurately than human agents, driving revenue through superior customer experience.”

The new funding takes the total raised by Newo to $32 million.
