Atomicwork launches certified AI coworker marketplace for enterprise IT and security
Information technology service management startup Atomicwork Inc. today announced the launch of an Artificial Intelligence Coworker Marketplace that will give enterprise IT and security teams access to prebuilt, certified AI coworkers that can work alongside employees.
The company said these agentic AI coworkers include verified roles and capabilities across cloud infrastructure, access management, security and device operations.
“Most AI-native ITSM vendors today don’t have much to show for their agents’ effectiveness — a listing means ‘this agent works,’ not ‘this AI Agent has real, verified coverage of the systems it needs to touch and has been tested and fine-tuned using real-world enterprise use cases’ which has made enterprises wary of agentic claims,” Cheif Executive and co-founder Vijay Rayapati told SiliconANGLE.
Founded in 2022, Atomicwork began with the premise that information technology and security teams face challenging, process-intensive work and long tasks that could be automated. To tackle these problems, the company evaluated its agentic coworkers against real enterprise use cases, giving organizations a faster way to deploy AI workers without developing or validating them from scratch.
The initial lineup of coworkers includes an enterprise operations AI coworker, along with a CloudOps engineer, AccessOps manager, SecOps manager and DeviceOps manager. These AI coworkers can work across enterprise systems including AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Okta, Active Directory, Splunk and Google SecOps.
The company said every AI Coworker comes out of the box with the skills and integrations needed for its role, reducing the work IT teams would otherwise spend wiring up systems and validating procedures.
Every agent can be quickly tailored to internal infrastructure, company culture, specialized expertise and business logic. Using that, they can quickly generate and tackle large volumes of recurring operational work under the supervision of IT and security teams. The company added that administrators will retain full control of agent management, allowing them to decide what systems an agent can access, what actions it can perform and how those actions are governed.
The objective is not merely to provide a catalog of available agents with a card to explain their capabilities. Atomicwork’s certification verifies that each AI Coworker has the needed integrations and skill coverage for the role to get the work done before deployment.
Atomicwork said customers using access automation have already seen speed-ups, with applications that don’t require approval having a median turnaround of about 18 seconds, while those requiring approval have a turnaround of about 2.5 hours. In contrast, the industry standard, which can be heavily influenced by business maturity and the risk behind the application’s use, could take between a full day and three business days depending on the amount of automation behind the scenes.
The company said this marketplace represents the beginning of a broader plan to create an ecosystem of enterprise AI Coworkers, built and certified by Atomicwork. Third parties will also be able to contribute skills and integrations through its Model Context Protocol store and skill registry to enhance coworker capabilities.
“This launch is the first step toward a third-party AI Coworker marketplace, where partners publish their own coworkers and certify them against our enterprise bench,” said Rayapati.
