LIVE: Microsoft’s Troubles – Just Scratch the Surface

Updated with full video – see below.

Welcome to NewsDesk on SiliconANGLE TV for Wednesday July 31, 2013. It appears Microsoft’s Surface sales figures are even worse than was previously thought. Joining us now to add some color to Microsoft’s troubling dilemma is Founder and Managing Consultant of the 1610 Group Scott Lowe.

See live feed below or visit youtube.com/siliconangle to watch on-demand.

On today’s episode, we’ll be visiting with Scott and discussing the latest news coming from Microsoft regarding sales of the Surface tablet, and we’ll get his analysis on how their recent revenue figures compare with previous expenses for the company.

Speaking of comparisons, we’ll also be drawing comparisons between Microsoft’s Surface, and their biggest competitor Apple and their iPad.

Last, but most certainly not least, we will also ask for Scott’s opinion on Microsoft’s direction as a company, and how Steve Ballmer described Microsoft as “not a software company, but a cloud-based devices and services company.” With that little bit in mind, we’re going to ask him to give his expert opinion on what Microsoft needs to do, and most of all, what they shouldn’t do to solve their current issues.

And that’s today, on this morning’s NewsDesk with Kristin Feledy.
