We’ll be sharing all of these predictions with you over the next couple of weeks.

Prediction No. 1:

In 2015 CIOs will begin to realize the value of data generated by the systems they manage. They’ll elect to move their data collection strategy to the level of a strategic initiative, forming a data information office within their organizations.

Prediction No. 2:

Along with the increasing value of generated data, 2015 will also see the rise of the Data Information Officer (DIO).

Prediction No. 3:

IT organizations will leverage operational intelligence to transform the businesses they support, moving from a tactical supporting role within the business to a transformative business partner.

Prediction No. 4:

The rate of technology innovation has done nothing to simplify IT’s ability to manage their environments. In fact, it has had the opposite effect. It has led to CIOs adopting outsourcing strategies as a means to keep up. In 2015, innovative IT organizations will adopt new operational strategies in order to thrive in the ever-changing technological landscape.

Prediction No. 5:

IT organizations will build environments that are able to deal with the rate and pace of change, adopting solutions that are just-good-enough as a means to monitor their environments, which will end the multi-year projects that are intended to normalize an ever-changing environment.
