Huddle appoints Morten Brøgger as CEO
A new year and a new CEO for Enterprise cloud collaboration service company Huddle. The company has appointed Morten Brøgger as its new Chief Executive Office (CEO) just weeks after the closure of the company’s $51 million Series D round of funding and a year of significant business growth during 2014.
In his new position, Brøgger plans to grow Huddle’s current leadership position in enterprise and government cloud collaboration established markets, as well as expand into new territories in 2015. He possesses 20 years of experience in the technology industry and spent 10 years in the cloud-based services to market. He brings extensive go-to-market and SaaS expertise to Huddle in both the U.S. and European markets.
Brøgger’s goals in his new position are to “put better processes in place around product marketing and sales, and focus on growing faster,” he told SiliconANGLE. “The way we want to do this is to pick our battles,” Brøgger furthered, targeting the core verticals and regions that Huddle can best address pain points in SaaS for the user experience. For Brøgger and his team, that means understanding the use cases and speaking the language, whether it’s in banking or healthcare.
While Brøgger was not specific in which verticals Huddle will be targeting in its new efforts, the new CEO will continue to drive growth in the enterprise sector where Huddle has been breaking ground for the past six months. The public sector is also of great interest to Huddle.
As the former CEO of MACH, Brøgger brought new cloud services to market and led business into other markets. His expansion efforts led to the sale of MACH to Syniverse Technologies, LLC in 2013 for $715 million. Previously, Brøgger also worked with Sunrise Switzerland, TDC Denmark and ATE. He holds a master’s degree from Aarhus University’s Business School in international marketing management.
Huddle co-founder and current CEO, Alastair Mitchell, will transition to new roles within the company as president and CMO to scale Huddle’s global brand and market impact.
“Morten has a proven ability to drive significant innovation and growth, and deliver results,” said Mitchell. “His skills and experience will enable us to capitalize on the incredible position we have built as a pioneer and leader in the cloud collaboration space over the past years and grow exponentially moving forward.”
