In just a few days, we will get to see what new technology we can expect for the next 12 months with the start of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.

CES 2016 officially runs from January 6 to January 9, but many companies will hold press announcements leading up to the official start date.

Many companies will keep the products they intend to show off at CES 2016 under wraps until the official launch, but here are some of the rumors making the rounds.

Smartphones at CES 2016

Huawei

We expect Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. to reveal its 6six-inch smartphone, the Mate 8 at CES 2016. The Mate 8 will be available in China initially, but we could see it launch in the U.S. and other markets around the world.

ZTE

There have been rumors that we could see ZTE Corp. launch its Nubia Z11, but we are more likely to see the company focus on its entry- and mid-level products.

Samsung

Some rumors have been making the rounds that Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd will launch its new Samsung Galaxy S7, but that is likely to only happen at its dedicated Unpacked event later in the month.

The company, though, is due to make a major announcement concerning cameras at CES 2016, according to Mirrorless Rumors.

Samsung’s CES keynote will take place on Tuesday, January 5, at 1:30 p.m. PT.

Smartwatches at CES 2016

Huawei

The company is not due to launch a second-generation of its successful Huawei Watch at CES 2016. What we can expect, though, are variants of its current Huawei Watch, including a made-for-women version, according to 9to5Google.

3Plus

Developer and manufacturer of smart wearable devices, 3Plus has announced that it will have four new wearables on display at CES 2016. Its range of wearables includes a smartwatch called the 3Plus Time with an expected retail price of $160.

Hisense

While we do not know exact details of what Hisense Co., Ltd will reveal at CES 2016, a senior executive told Pocket-lint there will be many new television announcements, with some news being “massive.”

Hisense’s press conference happens on Tuesday, January 5, at 1 p.m. PT.

Samsung

Samsung will be demonstrating its 2016 SUHD line-up of TVs at CES 2016. The new TV will become the central hub of your smart home.
