Overwhelmed by data? Don’t be! | #LenovoTechWorld

Every day there is a mountain of data that comes in from an ever-growing amount of inputs, but where does it all go? There has to be a place where it can all be stored and processed, and Lenovo Group Ltd. says it has the answer.

Madhu Matta, VP of Product Marketing, Server and Storage, Enterprise Business Group, at Lenovo, talked with John Walls and Stu Miniman (@stu), cohosts of theCUBE, from the SiliconANGLE Media team, during the Lenovo Tech World 2016 event about Lenovo’s data center group.

Where does it go?

There are millions of smart devices turned on each day, and all the data that is generated must be stored and processed. Lenovo’s data center group is one of the largest and most efficient teams for handling such massive amounts of data, according to Matta. There’s a hunger in data processing for infrastructure, and Lenovo is trying to satisfy that hunger, he stated.

What is critical is “delivering a product at the right scale with the right economics,” said Matta.

All hands on deck

It takes a large team to process all the data that comes streaming in each day, but it also takes a variety of people and companies. The Lenovo Data Center Group partners with multiple companies and organizations in order to bring a wide array capabilities to the consumer. They are looking for the “transformational customer experience,” and doing that requires an open and flexible portfolio, according to Matta. The group uses innovation to create an ecosystem that fosters better data analyzation to solve more complex problems.

The Lenovo Data Center Group is focused on creating a seamless workload placement on the enterprise level. No matter the breadth or complexity of data coming in, they are helping businesses find their storage and analysis solutions, Matta said.
