

Stepping up its effort in enterprise networking market, Juniper Networks has opened up a new sales office in Pittsburgh. The company already has several local clients, and the opening up a new sales office will provide room for expansion.
Mike Porter, vice president of enterprise sales for the central area, for Juniper Networks reported Pittsburgh as “An amazing market with an eye for innovation”. With the opening of this office, the company is also exploring interest in products and services other than current firewall and security technologies.
This is just another in a long list of accomplishments this year for Juniper. Recently, it completed an all-cash acquisition of Trapeze Networks for $152.1 million, adding the highest levels of WLAN reliability, performance, security and management of Trapeze to its repertoire. Juniper also acquired of Altor Networks for $95 million, again, in an all-cash deal.
A tradehuddle report mentioned Juniper’s increasing share price, which is at 52 week high, by trading above $36.85 on Friday. While the overall market index S&P was trading lower by -0.1% from its previous trading close, Juniper outperformed the market by 0.22% than its previous close.
