Zenprise, a provider of mobile device management software and services, announced its latest major hire today. The firm named Chris Doell as its vice president of customer success, a newly created role that will put him in charge of client services, customer support, account management and a number of other administrative duties.
“Doell brings over 20 years of leadership experience in both on-premise and SaaS-based software companies where he managed worldwide service teams successfully building and implementing high customer loyalty and retention programs,” the company says in a released statement.
Prior to joining Zenprise, Doell, who holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Loyola Marymount University, worked at Intuit, Macromedia and served as CEO of sportsTALK.com, which was later sold to ESPN.
Zenprise had another update late last month; the company debuted its latest offering, ZenCloud. The cloud based mobile security and device management solution can run in private, public and hybrid Citrix XenServer deployments, and the company promises 100 percent SLA.
Zenprise is one of the latest tech companies that made some significant staffing changes in the past couple of weeks. Intel temporary expanded its board of directors from 10 to 11 in order to elect the company’s new chairman, Andy Bryant, a long time executive at the chipmaker veteran that will start enter his position on May 2012 after current chairman Jane Shaw departs.
Business software maker SAP also had an update from this area, appointing Kevin Nix as the new head of its OnDemand business. Nix has 25 years of experience serving in executive positions in the tech industry, including CEO and co-founder of business app developer Skydata Systems, head of Siebel Systems’ CRM division and so on. On the same day SAP made its announced, AOL’s CEO fired three of the company’s most important executives.
