TheCUBE Research expands cybersecurity coverage with Krista Case joining as principal analyst

TheCUBE Research is continuing to grow its cybersecurity practice with the addition of Krista Case (pictured) as principal analyst and practice lead for cyber resilience and security.

In this role, Case will lead research and advisory efforts across key areas shaping cybersecurity, business continuity and regulatory compliance. This coverage includes how organizations protect and govern sensitive data, modernize identity and access controls in the age of AI-driven systems, and transform security operations centers from reactive alerting environments into platforms for decision support, prioritization and accelerated response.

Case will collaborate with Jon Oltsik, analyst in residence for cybersecurity at theCUBE Research, to scale the firm’s advisory capabilities and actionable insights to enterprise leaders navigating a rapidly shifting threat and regulatory landscape.

“We’re thrilled that Krista is joining our expanding research team,” said Dave Vellante, chief analyst at theCUBE Research. “Cyber resilience and security are a top priority on theCUBE Research’s agenda. With Krista’s proven analyst experience in the domain, complemented by Jon Oltsik’s years of experience researching the cyber industry, our audience, community and clients will be well served.”

Expanding cyber resilience research

Case brings more than 15 years of experience as an industry analyst, strategic advisor and thought leader. Most recently, she led product marketing for OpenText’s data security portfolio. Prior to that, she led analyst practice areas for The Futurum Group, Evaluator Group and Technology Business Research, as well as market intelligence initiatives for TechTarget.

Her research agenda at theCUBE Research will center on key trends driving the future of cybersecurity. These include protecting and governing sensitive data wherever it resides and however it is used, advancing identity security frameworks to support AI agents and machine identities, and rethinking SOC operations to move beyond triage toward more intelligent, automated and outcome-driven security practices.

The addition of Case reflects theCUBE Research’s continued investment in high-growth areas such as cyber resilience, identity security and AI-supported risk management, as organizations look to operationalize trust, governance and security at scale.
