ZenBusiness launches AI-ready infrastructure for business formation and compliance

ZenBusiness Inc., an artificial intelligence-powered platform providing guidance and operational assistance for small business owners, today announced an expansion of ZenBusiness Enterprise, which allows leading small and medium businesses integrate formation, licensing and compliance directly into customer experiences.

Starting and running a new business involves more than just paperwork; it requires tackling business processes, compliance and bureaucracy involving payroll, commerce, financial technology, accounting and AI-native platforms. New startups face mounting pressures to maintain the legal, regulatory and operational requirements that have become heavily digitized, in addition to launching and running a business.

“Entrepreneurs are starting businesses in more places than ever before,” President and Chief Product Officer Sameer Gulati said. “ZenBusiness Enterprise helps SMB platforms replace those disconnected experiences with done-for-you workflows backed by more than a decade of data on how nearly one million businesses start and grow.”

As AI agents become the norm for business creation and operation, Gulati added that this data foundation and infrastructure connectivity allows ZenBusiness to complete work for small businesses. Where general-purpose AI stops at guidance, the company goes the extra mile to connect and inform the legal, operational and service backbone of the back office.

This expansion brings application programming interface partner integrations for partners, which will allow them to connect third parties to their systems in ways that will allow them pull in data that large language models and AI agents can use for formation and compliance support.

Examples include payroll and human resources support such as entity formation, EIN procurement, S corp election support, state employer registrations and ongoing compliance. It will also connect to e-commerce, domains and website services to allow them to move from digital presence to a legally operating business by embedding licensing and compliance at launch into online stores, domains and online experiences.

ZenBusiness helps handle fintech and banking to provide faster access to payments, payroll and lending with verified entity information. It also helps startups and small businesses surface entity status, filings, documents, deadlines and compliance using advisor and practice management tools.

The company said this launch is evolving to enable its partner integrations to connect via the Model Context Protocol. MCP is an open standard introduced by Anthropic PBC in 2024 that allows LLMs and AI agents to connect to data, tools and software systems, allowing AI applications to connect and pull information from third parties.

“With millions of new businesses launching every year, [this] work has never mattered more,” Gulati said.
