Dell Services has announced Dell ProSupport Plus to improve stability of critical IT systems with environmental intelligence, a dedicated technical account manager, and direct access to elite Dell engineers. It provides automated support to help customers get ahead of IT problems before they become issues. ProSupport Flex for Data Center provides hyperscale data centers with flexible support options tailored to their needs and a dedicated team to increase efficiency and speed time-to-resolution. More

Microsoft Updates Business Associate Agreement to Address New HIPAA Requirements

Microsoft Corp. has announced release of a revised version of its HIPAA Business Associate Agreement (BAA) for its cloud services. This enables healthcare industry customers to use cloud solutions to coordinate care, improve patient health outcomes, and maintain compliance with the privacy and security regulations in the U.S. Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996, including the final omnibus HIPAA rule, which went into effect March 26.The BAA covers Office 365, Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online, and Windows Azure Core Services. More


Three Broadcom Masters Alumni Attend White House Science Fair

Broadcom Reports Near 10% Revenue Growth for 1Q13

Broadcom Corp. has reported net revenues of $2.01 billion and cash flow from operations of $388 million for 1Q13, ending March 31. The net revenue was an increase of 9.7% year-to-year, with earnings well above First Call consensus. More

Ernst & Young has found  strong global consensus that M&A volume will increase in confidence in the overall economy starts to climb. Sixty-one percent of U.S. companies expect U.S. deal volume to improve, and 76% of U.S. companies expect global deal volume to improve over the next 12 months. However, only 29% of U.S. companies expect to pursue acquisition in the next 12 months, only a modest improvement from six months ago. More
