SAP Unveils Rapid Deployment Tools For The Enterprise
SAP has announced the availability of new rapid-deployment applications designed to speed up and simplify scoping, configuring and implementation in enterprise technology.
The new online tools will allow companies to speed up deployments through collaborative designs of their systems, before SAP supplies them as complete packages. Once set up, companies will be able to deploy the packages on-premise or alternatively, temporarily host them in the cloud before going live.
Bernd Welz, Senior Vice President of SAP, said that the tools have been designed to address enterprise’s concerns about time and cost, and the uncertainties that come with implementation any new solutions:
“SAP now offers one of the fastest routes for deploying new innovations in enterprise resource planning and customer relationship management powered by the SAP HANA platform. Enterprise fears about the time, costs and uncertainty that go with implementing new technology are alleviated through an assembled-to-order IT stack that is proven and provides a solid foundation to jump-start the fine tuning, integration and data migration process.”
To begin the deployment process, companies can begin by accessing a menu on SAP’s Solution Explorer website. IT systems engineers can then weigh up the various deployment options and features, before selecting the individual components best suited to their needs. The online tools are designed to help engineers evaluate each of SAP’s features carefully, with each option providing details on the requirements of each implementation. Additionally, SAP also presents a choice of recommended packages to deploy.
After specifying their options, SAP conjures up a pre-configured package together with a methodology that enables IT staff to fine tune the software and deal with any problems arising from its implementation.
