Walmart to launch Cyber Monday on Sunday night with great range of tech deals

Walmart Stores, Inc., have announced that Cyber Monday is now Cyber Sunday night with its traditional online specials being brought forward a day.

The retailer will begin offering Cyber Monday deals starting this Sunday, November 29, starting at 8 p.m. Eastern in an attempt to capture shoppers looking for great Cyber Monday deals before they return to work on the Monday.

“It can be exhausting for working parents and millennials to stay up past midnight to shop online, only to wake up early the next day to get ready for work,” Walmart President and Chief Executive Officer Fernando Madeira said in a statement.

“By starting ‘Cyber Monday’ hours earlier on Sunday evening and quadrupling the number of Cyber Monday specials, we’re making it easier for customers to get ahead of the busiest online shopping day of the year and save on the best gifts,” he added.
