Vonage pivots into enterprise space to disrupt market | #EC16
Vonage has entered the enterprise space, and it is starting to shout about it. Having quietly acquired a group of companies, it now has “rock solid” MPLS (Multi-Protocol Label Switching) networks and coverage in Canada and the European Union, with plans to expand further.
Jeff Savage, VP of national accounts at Vonage Business, talked with John Furrier, cohost of theCUBE, from the SiliconANGLE Media team, at Enterprise Connect 2016 in Orlando, Florida, about how Vonage has pivoted into the enterprise and business space and is disrupting the market there — just as it did with its consumer VoIP services.
Over the Top
We’re playing in the “over the top” space, Savage said, who encourages “looking under the hood” to see what Vonage is really offering. Most people are not aware of what Vonage has done, he said, citing its commitment to quality of service and bullish stance on security.
Savage believes that Vonage’s momentum in the business space will continue to grow, telling Furrier: “We’ve never seen more enterprise opportunities than we’ve seen today.”
