Tectonic expands line of cloud migration services

Tectonic LLC is expanding its lineup of cloud consulting, marketing automation and customer relationship management (CRM) migration services with a new program that provides companies with guidance and the ability to test new technologies before moving fully to a cloud environment.

“MoveIt” is a custom consulting service based upon pre-packaged methodologies that’s geared toward IT departments that are considering cloud migration. It includes a variety of planning architecture and development services that span planning, guidance and re-architecture/development needs.

“SolveIt” is a pre-packaged, pre-built software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that analyzes organizational behaviors to offer descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive insights. It’s oriented toward mid-sized businesses that otherwise would not have the option of using advanced capabilities like predictive analytics (see image above).

Tectonic is essentially a consulting business with a technology platform that helps customers migrate to the cloud, said Blair Linville, founder and chief executive. “We take a business outcome approach to migration,” he said. “What are the business problems you’re trying to solve for, what are the data elements you need and how can cloud platforms accelerate those results? Then we identify the business strategy and the migration plan.”

Customers who are best-served by using existing people and platforms can use the MoveIt service to get expert advice and coaching. “If you’re better off buying the whole thing as a turnkey solution then we give you SolveIt,” said Linville, who described the CRM platform as “a bit of our own technology and a bit of white-label offering.” Tectonic is also certified on the Salesforce.com Inc. marketing cloud.

Since its 2009 founding, Tectonic has managed more than 400 CRM implementations for enterprise and mid-market organizations, the company claimed. It employs or contracts with more than 20 Google Cloud Platform experts and 75 developers. The company focuses in particular on the consumer services, health care, manufacturing, financial services, high-tech, nonprofit and media industries. Techtonic raised $2 million in venture funding about a year ago.

Professional services are priced on a custom basis. SolveIt is priced at $350 per user per month, including updates, support and professional advisory services.
