NileGuide, the San Fransisco-based online travel guide company, has hired two of the best techies from the industry. Peter Alley from Netflix and Nick Atkins co-founder Voyij join the NileGuide team.
These new hirings are a step to expand NileGuide from a business development standpoint, and validate its growing position in the travel industry. From the looks of it, the new team additions will be focused on customer relations and marketing, as well as search technology.
“NileGuide is committed to innovating and breaking new ground in the online travel category with a compelling user experience,” said CEO Josh Steinitz. “Peter and Nick both bring years of consumer web experience, a passion for serving customers, and deep technology expertise and will help take our company to the next level.”
The travel startup has made several strides towards growing its company, rolling out a number of new features in the past year. A recent development from NileGuide was a partnership with Localyte to provide more local resources for travelers. Getting more aggressive with an expansion road map is a necessity for NileGuide, as the online travel industry has really picked up steam these past few years. One of the space’s biggest developments was Google’s acquisition plans around ITA, a deal currently under review by regulatory agencies.
