Clustrix, a technology company leading in the development of Internet-scale clustered database platforms, is getting a few big names added to their rolls. Don Listwin joined their board of directors, hailing as a former Cisco Executive Vice President, and Jonathan Heiliger, vice president of technical operations at Facebook, who filled a position on the advisory board.
“We are pleased to have two high-caliber industry executives become part of the Clustrix family,” said Paul Mikesell, CEO and co-founder of Clustrix. “Don’s expertise in growing technology companies into dominant position by focusing on customer and market needs is particularly valuable to our company during its rapid revenue-growth stage. Adding his expertise to the team, while gaining perspective from a prominent technical and operational talent like Jonathan is a powerful combination.”
The announcement came today amid much fanfare.
Both Cisco and Facebook reign as industry leaders between networking and high-availability. In fact, Facebook already benefits from a great deal of database clustering technologies and Heiliger’s joining Clustrix will gain them a great deal of insights into the current challenges the industry faces in this field. He does have an extremely impressive resume from Walmart.com to Global Crossing.
