Friendship Pages Document Your Relationships. News Feeds are True Publishers.

Facebook has added the Friendship Pages, these being intended to display public posts between an user and his/her friend. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg stated that his first intention was to publish individual stories when launching news feeds a few years ago.  This is clearly a next step towards that dream of auto-scrapbooking the details of our lives.

Some details from Facebook’s blog:

“Today I’m excited to be launching Friendship Pages. They contain the public Wall posts and comments between two friends, photos in which both are tagged, Events they RSVP’d for together and more. You’ll be able to see a friendship page if you are friends with one of the people and have permission to view both people’s profiles.

When it’s between two people who share a lot, the page really starts to reflect their friendship. You can find a friendship page from links under relevant Wall posts, under relationship stories and under the main photo on a friend’s profile page.”

This is the latest in site tweaks for Facebook.  Earlier this month the social network updated the way its photos operate, among other things.

On Wednesday, MySpace presented a new image, thus facilitating any future upgraders and focus it’s appeal on young adults aged between 16 and 35. Although it was initially created as a social network, along the years MySpace diverted its way by becoming a website used for listening music and discussing on entertainment issues.

This week also brought an update from photo-sharing site, Flickr.  Its new feature of importing contacts from Facebook allows users to find more and more contact suggestions, unless the hidden profile is activated, the same being done with Gmail, Hotmail or Yahoo contacts.
