Groupon Launches New Merchant Tool, Eases Mobile Redemptions
Groupon today announced about the launch of its new merchant tool helpful for handling the mobile redemption. It will also be useful for keeping a track of the deals sold on the site. This application is available absolutely free of cost in the Android market and will be soon available in the Apple iTunes store.
According to a Groupon correspondent, it will pre-load the application in Android and iPhones so as to avoid any problems from users’ end. This will not only reduce the problems related with training the merchants, but will also make the use of this merchant tool extremely easy.
Not every business owner is tech-savvy, so Groupon has developed this application in such as way that everyone can use it without any hassles. Groupon’s held its industry position steady, with frequent updates, a wealth of partners and a nw strategy for brand marketing. Revealing new tools for easier integration is a big part of what Groupon’s doing in order to attract partners moving forward. Becoming a marketing platform is key to Groupon’s future, and strategy-wise, this is very similar to what we witnessed with Twitter growth and adoption.
In all, trends for mobile apps are moving towards easier methods of payments, data-gathering and consumer interaction. The more direct, the better. Take Groupon’s eBay tools, announced last week at a related event. Groupon recognizes this, as do other platform-agnotstic companies trying to make the most of today’s mobile market. Urban Airship, for one, is set on expanding its mobile app enhancement tool set, among other things. Expect to see a great deal more of this in the coming year.
