Cross-Platform Gaming Soars, Scoreloop Dominates on All Fronts

With an impressive 3 million new users per month and 18 million score submissions weekly, Scoreloop boasts its unrelenting lead on Android’s platform,  and its stronghold in the cross-platform mobile gaming, attributed to the continuous delivery of high-quality content and consumer uptake.

Scoreloop provides tips and resources of open platform details from experienced Android developers. Four out of ten most active games of Scoreloop are cross platform which started with iOS and Android. Frenzic and Toobz are two of the games from iOS making their transition to Android, which are extremely popular games with 10 million iOS downloads. The games are from Iconfactory and Off Center Software respectively.

“We’re thrilled to bring Frenzic to Android from iOS and with Scoreloop we’ve been able to support similar connected features” said Ged Maheux, Co-founder of the Iconfactory. “It’s been ideal for our needs and the studio we worked with found it simple to integrate.”

“Android has suddenly become an interesting platform for game developers,“ said Jason Haslup, Owner at Off Center Software.

“With over 10 million downloads, Toobz is one of the most successful games on the Apple App Store and I’m hoping to reproduce that on Android. I’m now working closely with Scoreloop to make that happen!”

Scoreloop platform makes it possible for mobile gamers across platforms to share achievements, leader boards, player challenges and virtual currencies. Scoreloop also announced its Android Developer Kit (SDK) 2.0 which Android game developers have immediate access with a fully revamped UI and an array of cross-promotion tools.  It wasn’t even that long ago Scoreloop went social with its platform offerings.  How time flies.

And Scoreloop isn’t the only one making waves on Android, and a cross-platform presence.  Papaya Mobile, funded earlier this year, has released a major platform update this week, while Playspan is heading up its platform efforts as well.
