KindleTwit: A Toy for Your Brand New Kindle

I’ve had a Kindle for a while now, and enjoy it for reading books and periodicals, as nature intended, but haven’t found it extremely useful for other online communication tasks.

Because of the slow screen refresh rate and the limitations Amazon’s put on the Beta developer’s program, apps for the device are few and far between. The web browser on the device is still marked as “experimental,” and rightly so, since many JavaScript heavy sites (like GMail) don’t work all that well yet.

Thankfully, someone has put together a web version of Twitter with absolutely no webpage stylings, making for a quick load on the Kindle called KindleTwit

Here’s a few screenshots:

If you’re waiting, like I am, for Amazon to open up the development platform so we can get all the cool apps, this is one way to sate your need in the meantime.
