Bill Wise Bulks Up Clearspring’s Executive Team as Growth Efforts Intensify

Today online content distributor Clearspring announced industry veteran Bill Wise is joining its Board of Directors. Wise joins Clearspring from MediaBank where he served as CEO.  The move comes shortly after a major network update for Clearspring, and is the latest in a string of strategic “hires,” bulking up the company’s executive team.

“On Clearspring’s Board, Wise will join other industry notables including Chairman Ted Leonsis, Nigel Morris, co-founder of Capital One and founder of QED Ventures, Philip L. Bronner, general partner of Novak Biddle Venture Partners, Tige Savage, co-founder of Revolution LLC, and Harry Weller, general partner of NEA, along with operating members Hooman Radfar and Gar Richlin.”

In addition to MediaBank, Wise was President of Media at Right Media when it was acquired by Yahoo!, where he was later appointed as General Manager for Global Exchange. Wise also held C-level roles at Ask.com and DoubleClick, Inc. which when combined with his previous positions give him a total of almost two decades of experience.

Going back to other recent Clearspring updates, SiliconANGLE covered Clearspring’s goals and outlook for the social web, and our News Editor Kristen Nicole conducted an interview with the company’s CEO Hooman Radfar. SiliconANGLE was also there when Greg Cypes joined the AddThis product development team at Clearspring fresh out of AOL, where he worked for more than 11 years.
