BUMP.com Gets Cozy for Valentine’s Day

BUMP will be providing a sneak preview of its Valentine offering for 24 hours. The service claims to bridge the communication gap among motorists, passengers and pedestrians, but it’s got a special promo going on for the holiday season. You can now leave a voicemail to any registered vehicle in the country via BUMP’s phone number. This is a newfangled idea, which has made its way into the mobile, web and communication arena.

“BUMP.com is offering the 24-hour sneak peek on Valentine’s Day as a gift before launching with its iPhone and Android apps at South by Southwest (SXSW) this March,” explained Mitch Thrower, BUMP.com’s CEO and Founder. “I recently became engaged and it feels wonderful to have found my perfect match,” Thrower stated.

BUMP.com will be filling the missed connection that’s been happening on the road, which research shows to have amounted to tens of million on a daily basis. By dialing BUMP.com’s phone numbers, (858)551-2867 or (858)551-BUMP, you can just leave a voicemail for any registered vehicle in the country, and the voicemail will be transcribed and delivered to the car’s profile. The best thing about this service is that it’s absolutely free.

Whatever your status may be, as long as you’re a registered owner and operator of vehicles, then you are encouraged to claim your tag and see if there’s anything waiting for you. In addition, users will be given special access to the private beta website by entering “BEMYBUMP” on Valentine’s day.

“On average, we spend five years of our lives in a car, and 70+ years in a relationship with a vehicle parked somewhere. Motorists have been stuck in the communication stone age, limited to a horn or a paper note for far too long. BUMP.com is breaking down this final barrier in the world of communication,” Thrower added.

Other mobile players in the industry are also prepping for Valentine’s. Rovio’s Angry Birds altered its color to pink, making the birds look a lot less irate, while adding a few new levels and challenges to beat. T-Mobile will be offering free smartphones to existing users if they ink an additional phone line on a two-year contract on February 11 and 12. Gameloft will be offering Let’s Golf 2, Prince of Persia – Warrior Within, Brothers in Arms 2 all for 99 cents, while location-based mobile dating SinglesAroundMe also decided to launch its service just in time for those who’s single for Valentines.

If you want something to give to your Valentine on Valentine’s day, you can avail of Animoto’s service which gives users the ability to embed their love on a piece of high-quality video that’s 30 seconds long for FREE. This is guaranteed to put a smile on someone’s face mainly because of the effort and personal touch. However, if you want something that’s instant and speedy as gift, you can resort to Milo service which tracks down products on the eleventh hour. They have access to over 50,000 retail stores, and all in all, features over 3 million products to choose from.
