Upgrades after Updates, Juniper Networks Welcomes Converged Supercore

Scalability, economy and incredible speed. These are the three frontrunners when you ask enterprises what they want out of their network providers. While others upgrade routers, circuitry and create new solutions, Juniper Networks plays it smart and focuses on the core. This led to the birth of the Converged Supercore.

Converged Supercore is Juniper Networks’ answer to the clamor of enterprises for simplicity, unprecedented scale and production efficiency. This new approach runs around three integral features: silicon, systems and software. It is made wide-ranging solution aims to put back control in networks, regardless of vendors. This innovative move has given attracted attention and praises from clients and consumers.

Marc Rouanne, Head of Network Systems and member of the Executive Board of Nokia Siemens Networks saw how the Converged Supercore fits in the picture by saying: “By 2015 there will be 1,000 percent more laptop data traffic and 10,000 percent more smart phone data traffic and users will access their personal services from the cloud wherever they are and with whatever device they use. Juniper’s Converged Supercore combined with its IP/MPLS router solutions addresses this opportunity and the emerging needs of our customers, and it completes our solution portfolio including efficient optical networking, network management and professional services.”

Juniper Networks has been a consistent scene stealer for the first quarter of 2011. Recently, it introduced QFabric that solidified its ground as Cisco’s prime nemesis in the industry. Computerworld.com also reported that the company is throwing big resources to develop a potent replacement of IP or Internet Protocol.

There are more or less a billion of mobile smart devices treading the planet today. The inevitable shift towards cloud-based and video apps is predicted to be exploding more in the coming years. This will eventually lead to unpredictable traffic, thus, the need for a flexible core network infrastructure. Will the market bite this new product of Juniper Networks? With current need, it’s a big yes.
