Fujitsu Offers Real-Time Business Analytics with SAP HANA
Fujitsu, a leading provider of ICT-based business solutions, today announced that it has got the SAP AG validation for all of its major offerings including servers, storage and network solutions, to be used along with the SAP In-Memory Appliance (SAP HANA) software, a flexible, multipurpose, data source agnostic in-memory appliance. Now, the customers of Fujitsu can have the dual advantage of using top-notch devices along with sophisticated services. This combination of Fujitsu PRIMERGY servers, ETERNUSstorage and Fujitsu network infrastructure with SAP software components will help its customers utilize real-time business analytics, especially for massive amount of transactional business data.
SAP itself is using Fujitsu’s infrastructure to run SAP HANA in its own data centers. Now, the validated platform will provide reliable, optimized and scalable infrastructure. This validation has made Fujitsu the first vendor to offer a validated platform to run SAP HANA, which is a really good sign for the company.
As a part of this deal, Fujitsu will provide a complete infrastructure solution for SAP HANA so that the customers can get the best advantage of using the high-end technology with easy administration. The company will provide its customers with both proactive and reactive 24×7 support, defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and regular system health checks through Fujitsu Solution Contract for the SAP HANA infrastructure.
“Businesses today need to be agile, with the ability to make vital choices at the speed of thought — because windows of opportunity do not stay open for long. Previous tools could not process vast amounts of data sufficiently and quickly enough to support real-time decision making — but the game has changed with SAP HANA running on and supported by Fujitsu, enabling unparalleled insight into data, whatever the size of the organization,” said Richard McCormack, Senior Vice President, Enterprise Systems at Fujitsu America.
The Fujitsu’s Sapphire Conference going on today has several great expectations bound with it, especially for company’s mobile initiatives, along with some announcements around its prominent Unwired Platform, and HANA. The event is expected to see several advancements, such as SAP teaming up with Dell for expansion in cloud computing realm. Both companies have already teamed up prior to this event and announced their partnership on In-memory and the cloud, improving their relationship around databases and cloud computing services. The deal is going to prove beneficial for both companies as it’s an important move for SAP on the distribution and access side, while Dell reaps the benefits of widening its services as it looks to better position itself as a cloud provider.
