Google+ Business Profiles Available Soon

As we all know, businesses need a strong presence on the Internet in order to be truly successful.   In today’s world, businesses seek exposure online and like to interact with clients and prospective clients, partially for research and feedback, but also to learn from these outlets to improve products, business practices and customer service.

In order to meet the growing demand, Google will launch Google+ business profiles later on this year. Google+ business profiles will include analytics and other additional features to help businesses gain the insight they seek.  Google is urging brands to wait for these official business profiles rather than set up their own, which the company will not be able to migrate once the brand profiles launch, according to a Google spokesperson.

“There will be a product very soon that has businesses’ interests in mind… We want to give them the features businesses expect and the features that can improve the sharing experience both for consumers and businesses,” Google says.

“You can expect to see a level of analytics and measurement that you’d typically find in Google products as well as a nuanced approach to how things are shared. It encourages and enhances conversation, it doesn’t just put things in the stream.”

Google’s original plan was to forbid any commercial, organizations from using the service and to test business profiles on a limited basis.  Googlehad a bit of a mess to clean up in the intirim, deleting existing accounts created by businesses.

However, there is a caveat to this, as Google will allow individuals who represent companies to create accounts and share content.
