Gusto for Tablet Business Users, and other iPad, Android Apps

The app ecosystem is growing, and the same can be said of every sub category across Apple and Android marketplaces. That includes the accelerating tablet business app market,  which has built up a lot of momentum thanks to the widening adoption of mobile computing in the enterprise.  This week, the first app to make it on our list is Gusto.

iPad

Gusto

Gusto is an iPad web development app that lets user edit code, and download and upload files to their  FTP or SFTP server. The application comes with a streamlined UI, autosaves, local and remote site previewing and other features such as syntax highlighting that make the whole process easier, on the go.

Penultimate

Penultimate is a handwriting app that lets users who are comfortable writing than typing ujsing the built-in keyboard to do so. It comes with customizable ink and paper styles, realistic pen strokes, and technology that prevents too many stray marks from appearing on the page.

Sorted

Sorted is a to-do app that aims to minimize the time that’s spent on setting tasks using a simple interface. It allows the user to set alarms, auto sort tasks, a search functionality and the ability to assign priorities to tasks.

Android

Box

Box is a cloud storage service that launched a Honeycomb-optimized version of its app this week. It scales the view based on the user’s device, and lets them access, upload and download the files they stored on Box’s servers. The app lacks some of the features that Box.net offers, but still provides a way to connect to one’s personal cloud on-the-go.

QuickOffice

QuickOffice’s Honeycomb version is a text editor designed for business customers that comes with several interesting features. These include integration with cloud storage services including Google Docs, Box, Dropbox and others; a spreadsheet editor and more.
