Cyber Monday is the shopping “holiday” after Thanksgiving. The term was coined back in 2005 with the rise of online shoppers found in the workplace. If you’re not into going out and joining in on all the ruckus during Black Friday, or you just really love to shop and you feel that Black Friday is just not enough, you can extend your shopping spree on Cyber Monday, even if you’re at work. Just don’t get caught.
When you do an online search for Cyber Monday deals, you will be flooded with a lot of sites that offer online deals just for that day. But consumers beware, a lot of malicious sites are scattered all over the web and one wrong click could result in a malware infestation, or even data theft. So be careful of the sites you visit when you go online shopping. Stick to the trusted sites. If a site offers unbelievably low, low prices for high end products, it’s probably a hoax trying to get your clicks. Also, avoid making purchases on public devices or WiFi networks, as hackers can easily steal your info through these channels.

Walmart is having a Cyber Week sale, which will start offering a sneak peak of their deals on Black Friday. Walmart is offering Special Buys in Electronics, but stock is limited, so you’d better be quick!
Target is also prepping for Cyber Monday, and will be offering sneak peak preview on Sunday, November 27th. Shoppers can also get exclusive Cyber Monday savings by signing up for e-mail deals.
Dell joins the Cyber Monday fun as they offer their best deals on laptops, TVs, desktop computers, monitors and other electronic devices. Dell teases shoppers not with product sneak peaks but with a countdown timer for Cyber Monday.
The Wall Street Journal, though not really an online retail shop, is offering great deals for digital subscriptions on Cyber Monday. Starting 12 a.m. EST on November 28th to 6 a.m. November 29th, all new subscribers will save 50% on 26 weeks of any New York Times digital subscription package. WSJ will also be offering 12- and 26-week gift subscriptions will be sold at 50% off.
