Real-Time Analytics On The Go With Woopra iPad App

To say that mobility is booming is an understatement. Cyber Monday’s record-breaking revenue was borne of the generation of mobile ads and apps.  So how does one enjoy the abundance of such fertile soil?  The earliest models hail from mobile gaming, payments, social networking and location-based retail.  And when it comes to staying on top of your metrics, it’d be nice to have a dedicated mobile presence for this too. Woopra’s launched a real-time analytics app for the iPhone and iPad, fleshing out a broader mobile strategy for the publishing platform.

For starters, there’s a live dashboard to view a summary of site activity.  As with most emerging analytics tools, the user interface is key to making the metrics understandable.  You can set up labels and push notifications from here as well, identifying site visitors to better follow their activity.  Data integration is a vital component of customer service in the big data era, and Woopra recognizes the growing demand in this area.

No word yet on an Android version, but there’s certainly reason to release an Android edition as well.  After all, Android smartphones are dominating in more ways than one.

Experts see this Woopra update as an answer to Google Analytics’ version v5, which is expected to come out soon, with a strong impact on the market. Google Analytics’ refurbished interface will showcase advanced features that include visitor flow, real-time tracking, mobile tracking, multi-channel funnels and goals funnels. Its straight-forward elements and simplicity are preserved in true Google fashion.

It seems like business intelligence is something that Google is dead serious about, especially with the recent release of Youtube Analytics chronicling the tale of your videos. Expect in-depth reports and crunched numbers from gazillions of everyday interactions and points of engagement.

We’re talking about an enormous volume of data when it comes to Google or Youtube, but imagine the size of information that we can draw out of Facebook.  Targeting its massive, broad audience, MovieQuest creates an analytics platform especially for the planet’s favorite social hub, called Fathom for Facebook. Another industry dweller, Demandbase has expanded audience classification capability for B2B personalization via its Real-Time Identification Service. This product will serve as an instrument to create a better view of the makeup of the website traffic.

Website analytics anchors businesses marketing strategies for many. The data gathered from interactions within a website is deemed useful in identifying what is performing extremely well, and identifying opportunities where the product and services need improvement.
